ABOUT THE ROLE: 

The Senior Manager, Medical Services is responsible for the coordination of planning, procurement and operational delivery of all medical and EMS services related to designated B26 venues within the B26 Celebration Corridor from Boston to Providence RI.  

Reporting to the Senior Director of Security Integration, and with functional accountability to the Chief Medical Officer (clinal care and medical guidance) and Senior Advisor, Security and Resilience for medical services program management activities (governance, reporting, milestone and deliverables tracking, risk and issue management) within the FWC B26 Planning Group – Medical and Health Services.   

This role operates within a complex multi-jurisdictional environment and supports the integration of EMS and medical services into the FWC B26 public safety and security operations across the B26 area of responsibility (AOR). The position requires close collaboration with Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH), Boston Public Health Commission (BPHC), Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency (MEMA), EMS providers, the FIFA 26 Venue Medical Officer (Boston Stadium) and other medical and public health stakeholders.  

It should be noted this will be an evolving position and responsibilities may change over time given the FWC Boston Host City Committee is a rapidly evolving organization working against inflexible deadlines in a complex environment. 

Location: 

Onsite in Foxborough, MA with frequent local travel and occasional regional travel. 

Type/Term: 

Full-Time, exempt, 40hrs/wk. through late Summer 2026, when position would end.

Senior Director, Security Integration 

Salary Range: 

$110,000-$130,000; depending on experience and qualifications 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Provide support to the B26 Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and the FWC B26 Medical and Public Health Services Planning Group develop the FWC B26 Medical and Public Health Operations Plan including input into the operational readiness and exercise program, C4 protocols, information flows and reporting.  

  • Closely collaborate with Boston 26 Departments and Functional Area leads to ensure that all medical support requirements are scoped in order to meet Boston’s 26 duty of care for staff, contractors and volunteers.  

  • Conduct medical risk assessments for the Boston 26 Celebration Zone and Boston Stadium ‘Last Mile’. 

  • Develop Boston 26 medical and EMS support plans for the Boston 26 Celebration Zone and Last Mile; aligned and integrated with respective public safety Emergency Action Plans (EAP). 

  • Oversee the procurement (draft EOIs, RFPs, and scopes of work) and contract management (performance against KPIs) for EMS and medical service suppliers at designated Boston 26 venues and activities within the Boston Downtown Celebration Zone.  

  • Coordinate and liaise with the FIFA 26 Boston Venue Medical Officer (VMO) to support their efforts to source and procure medical and EMS services, and access to the local public health care system for designated FIFA 26 non-competition venues - team hotels, FIFA delegation hotels (VIPs, staff and officials), team base camps and venue specific training sites.   

  • Coordinate with Boston 26 Human Resources and Workforce to scope the medical volunteer requirement including task analysis, operational demand and recruitment strategies.  

  • During Tournament operations (June – July 2026), represent Boston 26 as the operational management coordinator for Medical Services & EMS within the Celebration Zone.  

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR: 

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar senior leadership and management role within healthcare, public safety / emergency management or EMS; operational leadership/management in a multi-sport or major event environment would be highly regarded but is not essential.  

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related discipline; industry project management certification is highly desirable.  

  • Understanding of core project management methodologies, tools and processes including advanced MS Excel skills. 

  • Detail-oriented and solutions-focused, excellent organizational and time management skills 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Comfortable working under pressure and meeting critical deadlines. 

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.  

  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion. 

  • Adaptable and collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.

WORK EXPECTATIONS: 

  • Full-time, onsite, 40hr per week role that may require occasional evening and weekend work. Local and regional travel is expected on occasion. Work hours will fluctuate and include activity outside normal business hours during tournament time (June-July 2026). 

  • This role is estimated to conclude in late Summer of 2026.

The compensation range is competitive and commensurate with lived and professional experience, and includes access to:
