ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Project Coordinator, Safety & Security will support the Chief Security Officer and Senior Director, Security Integration, to plan and successfully deliver  the safety and security program for FIFA World Cup Boston 26 Host City Committee.  The Project Coordinator, reporting to the Senior Director, Security Integration will be responsible for working directly with Safety and Security Department leads to coordinating and supporting all program management activities, including ownership for all program governance, reporting, milestone and deliverables tracking, risk and issue management, supplier management, change management, integrated planning and policy and procedure development.  The scope of this role will also include assisting with budget coordination, procurement and contract management.  It should be noted that this will be an evolving position, and responsibilities may change over time given the FWC Boston Host City Committee is a rapidly evolving organization working against inflexible deadlines in a complex environment.

The successful candidate will be a dynamic and detail-oriented team player with qualifications in project management and data analysis and experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven organization.
 
Location:Onsite in Foxborough, MA with frequent local travel and occasional regional travel.
Type/Term:Full-Time, exempt, 40hrs/wk. through late Summer 2026, when position would end.
Reports to:Senior Director, Security Integration
Salary Range:$65,000-$85,000; depending on experience and qualifications


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Management
  • Provide day-to-day coordination of all program governance activities across all Boston 26 Safety & Security functional areas (Strategy & C4, Medical Services and Security Integration) including progress reviews, risk management, maintaining the Requestion for Information and Issues Register, providing secretariat support to safety and security working groups.
  • Maintain and update the B26 SEC ‘Road Map’ and project management plan in ‘ClickUp’ and track and report on progress against cross-domain milestones, deliverables and activities.
  • Participate in overall Boston 26 Safety and Security Risk Management Strategy, assist in the consideration of risks, weaknesses, threats and opportunities and how these may vary should business, political, stakeholder and operating environments change.
  • Assist in the planning and procurement of security supplies including managing contractor and supplier relationships, defining supplier KPIs and capturing operational support requirements to support tournament time operational delivery at the FIFA Fan Festival (Boston).  
  • Track and manage project deliverables, vendor performance, risk logs, and timelines.
  • Support internal Cross-Functional Area integration and communication.
  • Assist with documentation and compliance with security permits, access protocols, credentialing, and emergency preparedness.
Safety and Security: Integrated Planning and Tournament Operations
  • Support the development and coordination of the Safety and Security operational readiness activities and security planning workshops.
  • Support venue / site safety and safety reviews and operational planning.
  • Coordinate Boston 2026 Safety and Security Department staff operational support requirements including onboarding, training, credentialing, and accommodation during tournament operations
  • Maintain and update master project planning tools and workstreams.
  • Create agendas, track actions, and document outcomes of key meetings and working groups.
  • Support creation of briefing documents, stakeholder updates, and compliance documentation.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in project management, combined with a bachelor’s degree with a major in business and/or project management; industry project management certification is highly desirable.
  • Detail-oriented and solutions-focused, excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to work across departments, vendors, and government partners.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working under pressure and meeting critical deadlines.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with software applications for project management – Boston 26 utilizes ‘Click-Up’
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
  • Adaptable and collaborative team player.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor.

Please Note: Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the requirement for a work visa or sponsorship, and must be within reasonable commuting distance of Foxborough, MA.

WORK EXPECTATIONS:
  • Full-time, onsite, 40hr per week role that may require occasional evening and weekend work. Local and regional travel is expected occasionally. Work hours will fluctuate and include activity outside normal business hours during tournament time (June-July 2026).
  • This role is estimated to conclude in early Fall of 2026.

The compensation range is competitive and commensurate with lived and professional experience, and includes access to:
